Espostoa lanianuligera

This wonderful specimen of Espotoa lanianuligera was photographed near the Crisnejas river crossing ay Puente Crisnejas, Peru. It is an attractive form of the widely distributed Espostoa lanata. The cephalia are used by the local inhabitants who harverst the wool from them by cutting down the stems, as can be seen by the damage to this specimen.
